The side's main event is the Yorkshire Dales Tour which has been held annually at Spring Bank Holiday (formerly Whitsun) since 1952 and has therefore become a tradition in its own right. The Monday morning 10am show in Kettlewell is a highlight, and is normally attended by an audience of hundreds. In 2002 we celebrated the 50th Dales Tour on the Queen's Jubilee weekend. On Thursday evenings from May to August each year we present one or two shows of our dances in the city of Leeds and in surrounding towns and villages, often choosing pubs and inns of character for our shows. Apart from our regular weekly summer Thursday performances, we normally undertake a number of tours in the Leeds area. In 2010 we plan to tour the Lake District during the last weekend in July to celebrate our Diamond Jubilee and Calderdale by train on Saturday 18th September. We also undertake an annual tour to more distant parts. In 2007 this visited the Cotswolds, in 2008 we toured Sussex and in 2009 we visited Bruges. We will again visit Bruges in April 2010. Leeds Morris Men will be appearing as guests at a number of sides' weekends of dance and other events during the year. In 2010 this will include dancing in Wakefield, Liverpool, Lytham, Sheringham, the Forest of Dean, the Worth Valley and at Castleford Longsword's Morris Ring Meeting. You will find details under "Guest Appearances" - see link to left. They also often perform a Mummer's play at Christmas and are regular contributors to Whitby Folk Week in August.
